Welcome to Black Diamond Eye Care in Castle Rock, CO!
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share with you all about our business and the exceptional services we provide. Our commitment to advanced technology sets us apart from other optometry practices, ensuring that you receive the highest level of care and the most accurate vision solutions available.
At our practice, we believe that technological advancements play a crucial role in delivering outstanding advanced family eye care.
That’s why we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technologies that enable us to provide comprehensive and precise eye examinations. By embracing the latest innovations, we can offer you an unparalleled experience and help you achieve optimal eye health.
One of the standout features of our practice is our advanced diagnostic equipment. We have invested in sophisticated devices that allow us to evaluate your visual system in great detail.
For instance, we use the Optos® advanced retinal imaging technology to capture high-resolution images of the back of your eye (optic nerve and retina) without dilation. This allows us to detect and monitor conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma at their earliest stages.
We analyze the topography (the surface) of the cornea to determine cornea health, as well as determining if you might be a candidate for Lasik eye surgery. Another tool is the full-spectrum visual field test, also called the perimetry test, which assesses your vision from top to bottom and left to right, without moving your head.
In addition, we utilize optical coherence tomography (OCT) to obtain cross-sectional images of your retina, providing us with precise measurements and enhancing our ability to detect subtle changes in your eye health by being able to view the different layers of the retina. This technology aids in the diagnosis and management of various ocular conditions, ensuring that we can offer you the most appropriate treatment options.
When it comes to determining your refractive error and prescribing corrective lenses, we rely on the latest technology to achieve unparalleled accuracy. Our practice features advanced wavefront aberrometry, which measures the way light travels through your eyes and identifies even the tiniest irregularities in your visual system. This allows us to create highly customized prescriptions that address your unique visual needs, resulting in clearer and more comfortable vision.
Another area where our technological advancements shine is in our contact lens fitting process. We use corneal topography, a non-invasive imaging technique, to map the curvature of your cornea with exceptional accuracy. This information helps us select the most suitable contact lenses for your eyes, ensuring a precise fit and optimal vision. With our extensive range of contact lens options, including multifocal, toric, and specialty lenses, we can find the perfect solution for your specific visual requirements.
Furthermore, our commitment to advanced family eye care technology extends beyond diagnostics and corrective lenses. We have integrated innovative tools into our practice to enhance your overall experience and streamline our services. For instance, we offer online appointment scheduling, allowing you to conveniently book your visits from the comfort of your home or on the go. We also utilize electronic health records, ensuring that your medical information is securely stored and easily accessible during your visits.
While other optometry practices may provide basic services, we are proud to stand out as leaders in technological advancement. Our investment in cutting-edge equipment and our dedication to staying at the forefront of our field enable us to offer you the highest standard of advanced family eye care available. When you choose our practice, you can trust that you are receiving the most comprehensive and advanced services to protect and enhance your vision.

Some Of Our Tools
Optos—Optomap Retinal Imaging
Our standard of care includes Optomap Retinal Imaging technology, which checks for the presence of any retinal problems such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal holes or detachments and systemic diseases such as diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure. Optomap is fast, easy and comfortable, and provides the doctor with a 200 degree digital image of your retina. Optomap does not require dilating drops (in most cases), which result in blurred vision and sensitivity to light. Another great benefit of Optomap is that it provides a full-color digital image of the retina for tracking any changes in your eye health.
Latisse
We now offer Latisse for sale in our office. Both of our doctors can write prescriptions for this exciting product. Talk to our team to learn more!
Infantsee
Optometrists encourage parents to include a trip to the optometrist on the list of well-baby check-ups. Assessments at six to twelve months of age can determine healthy development of vision. Early detection of eye conditions is the best way to ensure a baby has healthy vision for successful development-now and in the future. Black Diamond Eye Care participates in InfantSEE®, a public health program, managed by Optometry Cares® . Under this program, we provide comprehensive eye health and vision assessments for infants within the first year of life free of charge to ensure your baby’s vision is on track to develop normally.
